December 19: Spreading Joy to Others...

Dear Readers,

Every year, Evan volunteered at the local food bank, but this Christmas, he wanted to do something different. He had heard about a young girl named Mia who was battling a serious illness and had been receiving treatments for months. Her Christmas wish was simple: to have a real tree in her living room.

Evan contacted Mia’s family and arranged to deliver a tree on Christmas Eve. He also gathered a team of volunteers to decorate it with lights and ornaments. The morning of the delivery, he carefully wrapped a set of homemade ornaments he had made himself a symbol of love and care.

When he arrived at the house, Mia’s eyes lit up as the tree was carried into the living room. It wasn’t just the tree that filled her with joy, but the knowledge that there were people out there who cared enough to make her wish come true. Evan felt a deep sense of fulfillment, knowing that he had spread joy not only to Mia but to her entire family.

Dec 19: Spreading Joy to Others

Poem:

Joy is found in what we give,

In the way we love, the way we live.

Share a laugh, share a smile,

Walk with someone, stay a while.

Spread joy like the morning sun,

To every heart, to everyone.

In giving, we find our own grace,

And joy becomes a shared embrace.

Jacob M

Prayer:

God of joy,

Help us to share happiness and light in the lives of others.

May our kindness and love be a beacon of joy that touches those around us.

Amen.

Jacob M
